We welcome you to spend your summer with us here in the Law Library! The Law Library is open throughout the summer to provide access to legal materials, assistance with research, and convenient study spaces.
Hours and Spaces
The Law Library has shortened hours during the summer: we are open 9am to 3:30pm Mondays through Thursdays and 9am to 2pm on Fridays. A staff member should be available at the Circulation Desk most of this time, but if not, please feel free to ring the doorbell at the front desk for assistance.
The Law Library will be closed along with the rest of the University on Memorial Day (Mon., May 29th), Juneteenth (Mon. June 19th), and for the Independence Day holiday (Mon. July 3rd and Tues. July 4th).
All study spaces are open in the library and the North Wing throughout the summer, unless otherwise noted. We will do our best to provide a comfortable atmosphere, but temperatures and humidity levels may fluctuate. We will work with Facilities to make any needed changes, but if your study space becomes too warm or cold, the quickest solution may be to try a different table or carrel.
Bar Study
Bar study students, your OneCard will allow you 24/7 access to the library prior to the bar exam. Please remember to carry your OneCard with you when you leave the library after our regular opening hours. Do not prop open the library entrance doors after hours.
The South Wing of the Library is dedicated to quiet study. Groups are encouraged to use the study rooms or the North Wing. Study room reservations are encouraged, but not required.
While you are studying, the librarians have provided snacks and treats for you on a table near the entrance of the library. Please enjoy these and any other foods in the student lounge or outside the library.
