During the Fall 2025 semester, you're invited to join us for engaging and informative sessions on Law Library resources and a celebration of the U.S. Constitution!
Every two weeks, starting on September 2nd, stop by the North Wing anytime from 12:00-1:00pm to talk with a librarian about research tools, tricks, and information that can help you thrive in law school and beyond. These short conversations will introduce research essentials that you may have overlooked but will want to know as you work toward becoming an ethical and professional attorney. The NIU College of Law Library has so many digital and print resources that you may not even be aware exist. These resources can help you study for exams, work on your legal writing skills, prepare for the Bar, or conduct a deeper dive into your Seminar or Law Review papers. Every month, the Law Library will present and field questions about databases you may not have used in a long time or ever to make sure you are taking full advantage of the tools available to you at the College of Law. These sessions will be held during the noon hour in a location to be announced.
September 17th is the annual celebration of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, which "commemorate[s] the formation and signing on September 17, 1787, of the Constitution and recognize[s] all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens" (36 U.S. C. § 106). Stop by the Law Library this Wednesday for a free copy of the Constitution and related activities!
