Music for Thai Visually Impaired StudentsWith the sponsorship of NIU Emeritus professor Dr. John G. Hartmann (NIU Thai Music Ensemble sponsor), Chamni Sripramram began giving music lesson to students at the Roi Et School for the Blind in Thailand. This program gives the students an opportunity to learn their musical heritage. He bagan with the Khaen, a free-reed mouth organ in the summer of 2022. Sripramram believes "music has more functions in society" and sees this project as an additional way of "helping people by using music to create more opportunities in life".
