Interlibrary Loan: Information Delivery Services: Book Deliveries to Branch Campuses

This guide describes the interlibrary loan services of NIU's library.

Distance learners and students at Branch campuses can request books from the NIU libraries, I-Share, or WorldCat. Then they can pick them up at their campus.

Requesting Books from NIU Libraries and I-Share

Locate the item in HuskieSearch
Sign in via Institutional Login
Click on Request from Library/I-Share
Select Northern Illinois University as the Pickup Institution
Select Naperville or Rockford from the drop-down menu as the Pickup Location

Requesting Books from WorldCat

Locate book in WorldCat via HuskieSearch
Sign in via Institutional Login
Click on Request from Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)
Check Campus Affiliation in NIUILLiad to ensure delivery to branch campus

Please visit ordering books for more information. Allow at least 5-7 business days for delivery of books owned by NIU libraries. Books from other lending institutions may take longer. It is the patron's responsibility to return library materials to any I-Share institution or branch.
