Hours and Location

The Regional History Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until noon and from 1:00 to 4:30 pm, with the exception of legal holidays and university closures. The Center is located in Room 400 on the fourth floor of Founders Memorial Library. We encourage you to visit the Center any time and our reference staff stands ready to assist you with a variety of guides, inventories, shelflists, and indices. You may write us at:

You may call us at (815) 753-1779 and we will be happy to provide you information about our holdings. We encourage you to call before you visit so we can help plan your visit to the center. At present we cannot entertain requests for information by fax or e-mail.

Parking is available in the Visitors Parking Lot located directly west of Founder Library. A map is available here. The cost is $5.00 for the entire day. For more information about visitor parking, click here
