Dear NIU Music Community,
The end of Spring Semester 2020 was a challenging one, and Fall is shaping up to be the same. I want to assure you that no matter the challenges we face, the Music Library will do everything possible to continue to provide you with the resources, assistance, and services you may need for your education and research, and for the classes you teach. As with many things during this time, how we operate will look much different than in the past. Like the rest of the university we will be taking certain steps to keep ourselves and our patrons safe. In addition, the University Libraries has been required to make necessary budget cuts, and thus, we will not be able to hire any student workers through at least the end of Fall 2020. This budget cut requires both Founders Memorial Library and us at the Music Library to rethink much of our workflow as our student workers are significant in the functioning of the Music Library. This LibGuide, and others that will be available from this page, will help explain how we plan to meet your needs and what changes to expect regarding our services.

Fall 2020: Patrons may pick up materials 4 half days a week
Mondays & Tuesdays 9 am - 1 pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays 12 pm to 4 pm*
*Open hours are subject to change as per the needs of our patrons. Please check back here before making a trip to the library.
