Music Library: COVID plans

Dear NIU Music Community,

As we are preparing to fully open for the Fall 2021 semester, things will gradually change in the Music Library.  Starting on Monday, June 21st NIU faculty, staff, and students will be able to enter our library and browse the stacks.

There will still not be areas for long-term studying, only a few tables reserved for those who would like to briefly browse items to decide what they would like to check out (15 min limit).  Masks are not required for those who are fully vaccinated but they are recommended.  We ask that you continue to social distance, and respect those around you.  We are happy to continue taking requests for items to be pulled. Those items can be picked up at our circulation desk during our open hours.

We are excited to take these steps on the path back to "normal".

Kate and I are still available to help you in any way we can.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at or on Teams.
