I-Share and ILLiad borrowing and lending has resumed. However, please note that I-Share institutions vary in the level of resources and services available during the pandemic, so materials at some institutions may still not be obtainable. In these instances, items will either not be requestable or the requests will be canceled. IDS requests for articles are available through Get-It-Now and NIUILLiad.
NOTE: NIU Libraries staffing is limited and/or staggered, therefore, interlibrary loan and information delivery requests may take longer to be filled. In the item record, go to the How to Get It section. NOTE: You will need to be logged in to your My Library Account to request items. Click on Request from I-Share.
The I-Share request form will appear with the citation information filled in. You may select your Preferred Pick-Up Institution (NIU is the default, but do you want to pick up your items at another institution?). Then select your Preferred Local Pickup Location. The NIU options are:
Please pay attention to your institution and location selections before you click send.
Double-check the Pickup institution and the Pickup Location. Then, scroll to the bottom of the form and click on Send Request.
To view the status of or cancel your request, log into My Library Account and click on Requests. You will receive an email when the requested item is available for pick-up.
