Theater Arts

  • ArtsEdge: The National Arts and Education Network - Jointly established by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, this site offers a "curriculum studio" useful for curriculum development, as well as web links and a forum for students. Chief emphasis is at the K-12 level of instruction.
  • Dramatic Publishing
  • Dramatists Play Service, Inc. - Dramatists Play Service has published new plays since 1936 and is now one of the preeminent theatrical licensing agencies in the English-speaking world. The DPS web site focuses on both these areas, but only for its own works. This site is searchable by cast size, gender, length, (full length/short) keyword, and ISBN, or hunt by author and/or title. Each retrieved entry includes a plot synopsis, casting data, price, licensing fees and a "shopping cart" button for easy purchase.
  • Milieux (the Costume Site)
  • Playbill
  • Samuel French - Catalogue for searching and purchasing plays
  • SIBMAS - The International Association of Libraries and Museum of the Performing Arts, founded in 1954. An online directory of performing arts collections and museums is now available.
